| When will I get my check? |
| |
Paychecks are always mailed Wednesday evening from the downtown main post office. Typically, you will receive them on Friday unless there is a large volume of mail in the post office (i.e. holidays.) We do offer a direct deposit option if you are interested. |
| When are time cards due? |
| |
Time cards must be dropped off by Tuesday evening at 12:00 midnight. Any timecards received on Wednesday will be on the following weeks payroll. It is very important that we have your time card on time, we cannot make special considerations. We have conveniently placed two drop boxes outside our office for you to use. |
| Can I fax my timecard? |
| |
No. We cannot accept faxed timecards; we must have your supervisor’s signature on your timecard. If you misplace your timecard, we will fax you a blank timecard, but it must be signed by your supervisor and in our office no later than midnight Tuesday evening. |
| Why didn’t I get my check? |
| |
This usually happens if you did not get your timecard in our office on time or we do not have your new address. We date stamp all late time cards to maintain accuracy. It is in your and our best interest to get them in on time. To assure that we get your timecard, mail it on Friday afternoon or drop it off in the drop boxes before Tuesday evening at midnight. |
| How do I get set up for direct deposit? |
| |
Simply send or drop off a voided check for the account you would like us to use for deposit. It takes approximately two weeks for this to become active. You will continue to receive negotiable checks until direct deposit goes through. You will always receive a check stub in the mail detailing all tax withholdings. |
| Who do I call if I’m sick? |
| |
If you are sick or have an emergency to tend to, always call your consultant at Martha Vance & Associates, and let them know. Click here for an associate phone directory. We will contact your employer and let them know first thing. |
| Tomorrow is a holiday; do I have to work? |
| |
Plan ahead; ask your supervisor at the client company if the office is closed because of the holiday. If there is any question, go to work, it will only benefit you in the long run. |
| When do I qualify for vacation pay? |
| |
Upon completion of 1,800 hours within two years of your first assignment with us, you are eligible for 40 hours of vacation pay at your average pay rate. Your pay stub has the cumulative number of hours worked in a specific year. Once you reach the plateau, we’ll automatically pay you. |
| When will I get my referral bonus? |
| |
Referral Bonus checks are cut once a month. As soon as your referral applicant has worked 80 hours, we will have a check cut to you in the next months processing. If you think there has been an oversight, just call you consultant and they will address it. Remember, you will receive $25 for each referral applicant you send to Martha Vance & Associates. |
| What do I do if I get another job offer while on assignment? |
| |
Out of common courtesy to our client, we would like at least a 24-hour notice so we can make arrangements to have your position filled without a lapse of coverage. We understand that you may get other job offers, but typically those positions will not start the next day. If you are going to accept another position, please call your consultant as soon as possible. For a list of phone numbers please click here. |
